This is the latest Ferrari – the Ferrari Portofino. Although an “entry level” model, the Portofino successfully replaces the California T not many proper car gearheads liked very much. Nevertheless, before we get some serious footage and official videos depicting the machine, one guy from Slovenia actually filmed the Ferrari Portofino in Koper, Slovenia. And this is the first time we can actually hear the engine in this “low-end supercar”.
Low-end or not, the Portofino is actually an amazing car. Featuring an improved 3.9-liter twin turbocharged V8, the car disposes of with 592hp. Enough to propel it to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds. Maybe even faster. On the other end of the scale, the Portofino will reach 199 mph.
The sole fact that it appeared in Koper, Slovenia for photo shoot shows that Ferrari is ready for the series production of the car which will certainly make it possible for the company to reach its goal of producing 10,000 units per annum.
The Ferrari Portofino is not only a nicely looking thing. It actually inherited Edif system from bigger cars. It also uses electronic assisted servo steering which additionally shortened lock-to-lock and, most importantly, it has specially crafted transmission for the best possible acceleration.
