Ever wish Fiat would just drop the 350-hp Alfa engine into the back of its 500 hatchback and make it the mid-engine rear-wheel drive widebody monster? Obviously a factory would never do such a thing, but that is okay, because it is already been done.
Meet the Giannini 350 GP Anniversario. It is the carbon fiber-bodied Fiat 500 built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the historic tuning shop Giannini.
The car features the mid-mounted turbocharged four-cylinder from the Alfa Romeo 4C, attached to the manual transmission sending power to the rear wheels.
In addition to the huge fender flares and the massive power, the 350 GP features six-piston Brembo brakes up front, some wildly beautiful Öhlins coilovers mounted inboard.
According to the YouTuber 19Bozzy92, up 100 examples will be built, each at the starting price of around $180,000.
If you can’t afford it, no worries. There is plenty of video footage of the vehicle ripping around some lovely Italian back roads to watch instead. Take the look for yourself.
