Jason Fenske who manages Engineering Explained YouTube channel bought a rather fine Subaru Crosstrek last year, but after driving and learning about the new car – the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek he is positive that he should wait for the new model to come out.
Here are 10 Reasons why the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek is a better car than the fine 2017 Subaru Crosstrek.
After all, he even starts the “About” section under the YouTube video with: “The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek Is Better In Every Way.”
In short, the new car is bigger inside, it looks a bit more grown up, has much more comprehensive equipment inside and has a tad more powerful engine. Not that you’d notice that as the engine output has been increased only by 4hp. Not exactly a noticeable amount.
Nevertheless, Fenske seems to like the car a lot, and we do too.
That got us thinking. Imagine the Crosstrek STI with an engine from the WRX and a new styling pack priced at less than $35,000. That car should print money like no other.
But the question is – would it actually kill the WRX STI? After all, with all the WRX STI gear, raised the height and a massive amount of speed, it is hard to think that the WRX STI buyers wouldn’t just opt for the really cool crossover.
